TRADE: Express Trade Chemrouk to Powell River for Futures

The Coquitlam Express have traded 2007 born forward Kamyl Chemrouk to the Powell River Kings in exchange for Future Considerations.

Chemrouk, 19, is in his 1st season of junior hockey. Starting the season with the Brooks Bandits where he’d appear in 24 games and post 8 goals and 9 assists for 17 points. He’d be traded to the Express back on December 29th and would suit up for 8 games for Coquitlam. The RPI commit would score 2 goals and 3 assists for 5 points with the Express.

“Chemrouk is a young, highly skilled forward who we think has a really bright future,” said Tali Campbell, President and General Manager of the Express. “With our depth up front, it was tough to find him the consistent opportunity he’s looking for, and this move gives him a great chance to step into a bigger role in Powell River. He’s a kid with big goals and we’re excited to see him continue to grow. We wish him nothing but the best moving forward.”
