The Ottawa Senators have re-signed defenseman Patrick Wiercioch to a three-year deal.
A second-round draft pick in 2008, Patrick began his career with the Express in 2006/07 prior to joining the Omaha Lancers (USHL) and later attending the University of Denver (WCHA). His achievements include being named to the Second All-Star Team (2008/09); All-Rookie Team (2008/09); First All-Star Team (2009/10) and the West First All American Team (2009/10).
Patrick made his NHL debut with the Senators in 2010/11. He started last season with the Binghamton Senators before being called up to Ottawa where he played 42 games and had a career high of 19 points.
