Coquitlam, BC – The Coquitlam Express Hockey Club is excited to announce the schedule for the 2023-2024 season. The team is looking forward to hitting the ice back at the Train Station which is set to begin on September 22nd, 2023.
The Express will be opening their season with a home game against the defending Coastal Conference Champions, the Alberni Valley Bulldogs at the Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex in Coquitlam, which is expected to be an action packed night.
This season the Express have majority of their games on the weekend which include 14 Friday evenings, seven Saturday evenings, two Sunday afternoons, two Wednesdays which one includes the annual School game and this season a Family Day game on February 19th.
“We are thrilled to announce the start of our 2023-2024 season and to welcome our fans back to the rink,” said Tali Campbell, General Manager of the Coquitlam Express. “Our team has been working hard in the off-season to prepare for this season, and we can’t wait to see them in action.”
The Coquitlam Express Hockey Club is a member of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), which is the top Junior hockey league in Canada. The team has a long-standing history of success, having won the BCHL championship in 2006 and again in 2014, and were on track to bring their third Championship home in 2020 before COVID-19.
“We have a lot of plans for the upcoming season from a fan experience perspective that will include a new Party Pit, a new Birthday Zone, updated merchandise space and more,” said Campbell. “Our fans can expect to see exciting, fast-paced hockey, and we’re looking forward to making our community proud.”
