The Coquitlam Express have announced the signing of 2001-born defensemen Alek Sukunda on-loan from the Moose Jaw Warriors of the Western Hockey League.
Sukunda has spent the last two seasons with the Warriors in the WHL playing in 72 games and prior to that he played in the Vancouver North West Giants U18 and the Powell River Kings in the 2017-18 Season.
“We are excited to welcome Alek to the Express, he is a tremendous person and leader who we are going to rely on to help out our younger players.” said Tali Campbell, vice president and general manager for the Coquitlam Express “He is a hardworking player, who will easily become a respected person in our dressing room.”
The Coquitlam Express are currently scheduling inter-squad games that will be broadcasted on HockeyTV, more details are scheduled to be released shortly.
