Dear Express Nation,
On Monday, December 7th BC’s Provincial Health Officer (PHO) Dr. Bonnie Henry extended the current order until January 8th, 2021 which has a direct impact on the Coquitlam Express restricting games from taking place. The BCHL season has been delayed until then.
Although this is unfortunate news the Express continue to respect the PHO’s orders and are taking all safety precautions possible.
We have decided to send players home for the Holidays, while all local/US players will stay in town and continue to practice under Phase 2 regulations by ViaSport.
On another note, the Express know how hard this Christmas might be for some families and we want to make sure all families are able to wake up on Christmas morning with gifts under their tree, if you know of a family who might need a little extra help please send an email to tali@coquitlamexpress.ca . All emails will remain confidential.
Together we will get through this. During the Holiday season we need to support one another more than ever. Our community has been amazing to us over the years and we want to make sure we are doing everything we can right now to show our appreciation.
