Express sign Lucas Lundy

The Coquitlam Express announced they have signed 2002-born, Delta native Lucas Lundy.

Lundy who played for the Nanaimo Buccaneers in the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League last year totalled 12 points, two goals and 10 assists and 42 penalty minutes in 37 games.  He also played for the Pursuit of Excellence for two years followed by one year with the West Van Academy Prep. Lundy also spent the last two months with the Merritt Centennials on their Extended Training Camp.

“I have been able to watch Lucas over the last year and a bit and his trajectory is what excites me. He continues to get better every time I see him and you won’t find a more hard working person.” commented Tali Campbell, Express’ vice-president of team operations “The interesting thing about Lucas is he used to be a forward, then switched to a defensemen, so over the course of the next little while we are going to utilize him in both capacities.”
