As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence, we are currently seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our coaching staff as an Assistant Coach.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Coach to support our Head Coach in all aspects of team development and performance. The Assistant Coach will play a crucial role in planning and executing training sessions, analyzing game strategies, and providing guidance and mentorship to our players.
Key Responsibilities:
– Assist the Head Coach in developing and implementing practice plans and game strategies.
– Provide on-ice instruction and skill development sessions to enhance player performance.
– Analyze game footage and provide constructive feedback to players to facilitate improvement.
– Collaborate with the coaching staff to ensure a cohesive and effective coaching approach.
– Mentor players both on and off the ice, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
– Assist with scouting and recruitment efforts to identify talented prospects for the team.
– Support the Head Coach in managing team logistics and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
– Previous coaching experience at the junior hockey level or higher is preferred.
– Sound knowledge of hockey fundamentals, strategies, and tactics.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with players, staff, and management.
– Dedication to player development and a passion for supporting athletes in reaching their full potential.
– Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate team schedules and travel requirements.
– Valid coaching certifications or willingness to obtain required certifications prior to the start of the season.
