COQUITLAM, BC – The Coquitlam Express Junior A Hockey Club has already announced that all staff will be receiving the vaccination when they are eligible and today the club announced all Tri-City residents that get vaccinated will receive one free ticket voucher to an upcoming Coquitlam Express Game.
Although the Coquitlam Express are at the tailend of their season they are playing without fans in the building due to the current Provincial Health Orders and they know the only way to get fans back is people getting vaccinated.
“The importance of getting vaccinated is so that we can get back to normalcy and for us that means reopening our arena to get fans back in the building.” commented Tali Campbell, Express vice-president and general manager “As an organization we have talked about various ways we can keep the encouragement of getting vaccinated and we thought, let’s offer a free ticket voucher to an upcoming game for those who get vaccinated.”
The timeline of when fans will be allowed back into the arena is still unknown but Campbell said the ticket voucher that each person will receive will be valid when those restrictions are lifted.
To qualify for your free ticket you will need picture proof of your vaccination card that can be emailed to tali@coquitlamexpress.ca or brought into the Express office when it reopens in August.
