Nail bitter, Chiefs 3 – Express 2

It was a quiet first period with not much happening on the score sheet however the second period is where the bulk of the action happened as out of the five goals, four were scored during the second period.

The Express would get things rolling first in front of over 1,700 fans with a powerplay goal by Mirko Buttazzoni assisted by Evan Brown and Jason Gallucci, not long after though the Chiefs would score three unanswered goals.

First on the powerplay by Mason Kesselring, followed within two minutes by Brian Morse and to end the first period Sash Teleguine would give the Chiefs the 3-1 lead.

The Express had a hard time really finding anything tonight, it was like they were on a New Year hangover for majority of the game. In the third period Cam Moger would score on the powerplay to get within one goal but that was all they could do as the Chiefs would take the game 3-2.

The Express are now on All-Star Break and don’t return to action until January 27th.
