PREVIEW: Express vs Capitals (Jan 27)

The Express host the Cowichan Valley Capitals for the first time (at home) this season and for the leagues first-ever Pride Night.

It feels like forever since the Express last played as they have been on the BCHL All-Star break however they return tonight taking on the Capitals for the second time this season.

Statistics:

The Capitals are 9th in the Coastal Conference with a 7-25-1-2 record.

The Express are 3rd in the Coastal Conference with a 16-12-4-1 record.

Head-to-Head

These two teams have only seen each other once this season back on October 30th at the Big Stick in Duncan where the Capitals took away with the 4-3 overtime win.

Keys To Victory:

Composure and maturity. At times this season the Express have looked like they were the more immature team giving up leads and taking undisciplined penalties. Cowichan is struggling this season so an early start for the Express will be key.

Lineup Changes:

Blake Setter will get his Express debut tonight while it looks like Brady Smith will get the nod in net. Smith has not played in over a month as he was away with the Lethbridge Hurricanes during December.
